Chai Tea Concentrate
New Recipe Drop!

Fall is the time of year when pumpkin everything takes over. And while I do love a good pumpkin treat, chai holds a special place as my underrated fall favorite. The warming spices keep me feeling cozy all season long, even through the chill of winter. Making chai tea concentrate weekly has been a game-changer for me. I love using it in my afternoon lattes for a quick pick-me-up or adding it to baked goods for an extra touch of spice. Even my mother-in-law, a true chai connoisseur, approves!
So, here it is for you to enjoy and stay cozy this fall and winter:
Chai Concentrate Recipe
Ingredients:
1-inch knob of ginger
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
6 cloves
4 dried edible roses
8 green cardamom pods
10 black peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
5 cups water
5 teaspoons black tea leaves
Instructions:
Lightly crush and dry roast the spices to release their oils.
Simmer the spices with water, tea, and nutmeg for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Let steep for 20 minutes, strain, and store in a mason jar.
I hope you enjoy this cozy, spiced concentrate! Let me know what recipes you use it in—I’d love to hear your ideas!
