Wellness Elixir

A Simple, Powerful Daily Detox Drink

It’s been two months since I started to incorporate this wellness elixir into my daily regimen. I created this recipe to support my liver, kidney, blood sugar, digestion, and my immune system. It’s simple, delicious, and really easy to make. I wanted to share it all with you so you can also add this simple ritual into your daily routine.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 inch peeled ginger, chopped

  • 1 inch peeled turmeric, chopped

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • Optional: a few strands of saffron

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a cup or teapot.

  2. Pour in warm (not boiling) water.

  3. Let the mixture steep for 5–10 minutes.

  4. Strain into a cup, sip slowly, and enjoy mindfully.

Tip: Make it in the morning on an empty stomach for the best results.

  • Apple cider vinegar aids in controlling blood sugar, supporting digestion, and detoxifying your liver.

  • Ginger helps reduce systemic inflammation and soothes digestion.

  • Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that aids in removing free radicals from the brain.

  • Black pepper helps the curcumin in turmeric absorb more effectively.

  • Saffron helps boost your mood and reduce inflammation.

Tips & Tricks

  • Daily use is encouraged for cumulative benefits, but start with small doses if you're new to apple cider vinegar, or break the apple cider vinegar amount over two exilor drinks throughout the day.

  • It’s best in the morning without food, but if you feel like you need to eat with it, that’s fine. I would recommend having it with a protein, heathy fat, or fiber snack/meal.

  • You can prep this tea and drink it cold or warm it up. It can last 2-3 days in the fridge!
